Pressure Washer Parts and Accessories

Pressure washers are mechanical devices that are used for cleaning. They use water and high pressure to create a powerful stream of water that can help get rid of tough stains and dirt on almost any surface. Pressure washers are powered by either an electric motor, or a combustion engine similar to those found on lawn mowers.

Pressure washers are composed of several parts which basically involves the pump that is attached to the motor. The pump is responsible for compressing the water that builds up pressure and the motor is responsible for powering the pump. At the other end of the pump is a hose that has a pressure washer gun connected to its end. The trigger of this gun is responsible in giving the operator the ability to spray the pressurized water in continuous or short bursts. The pressure washer gun is usually connected to a wand, a thin cylindrical tube that gives the operator accuracy when performing cleaning tasks. Finally, at the end of the wand is the tip or nozzle which directs the water stream in different spray patterns.

Some pressure washers also have detergent injectors that help to provide a steady mix of soap to the stream of water. Other parts of a pressure washer would include valves, heating and cooling components, electrical fittings or wirings, and plumping.

If you are planning on purchasing a pressure washer, you need to take your time before making your decision as there are a plethora of options and accessories that are available, and you wouldn’t want to leave the shop without an accessory that you need or pay extra features that you will likely never use. It is important that you figure out exactly what your cleaning requirements are, or where likely you will be using your pressure washer on so that you will be able to identify what you need. The most useful pressure washer accessory is the one that you will actually have a use for. If you will be using your pressure washer to clean your car, your pavement, your driveway, and your patio, then you will need a variety of nozzles that will fit perfectly for the job at hand.

Electric pressure washers are highly recommended for most home use. Although they do not have as much power as gas pressure washers, they still have enough power to clean most household cleaning tasks. They also are more portable, which means they can easily be moved in and out of the house, perfect when storing and cleaning different corners of the house.
